Poem | I And My Darling!
My poem, my darling,
I love you, love you, love you.
I also know my darling, you do the same.
Although you know my poverty,
Although I don’t have the ornaments to give you,
And I hardly help you in dress up,
You still love me,
You love me more than I do.
You still come to me and put your beautiful hands on my back,
Whisper at my ear - “It’s OK darling, I am with you forever!”
You come in the dark and lonely night,
When all are resting on the lap of the sleep,
You come in the foggy morning,
When everything is covered by the quilt of laziness,
You come when storm and rain frighten me,
You come to show your concern for me,
You come to caress me.
I will never leave you,
Someday I will be a more able poet,
I will decorate you with ornaments of beautiful words,
I will dress you up with most beautiful phrases,
From the treasury of my experience.
Till then my darling,
Don’t leave me but live with me,
Someday I will put the crown of the best on your head.
