I love you , but can I do this any longer .........

Updated on May 14, 2013

its just the way I sometimes think about writing
in ten years of writing and
almost sixty of living
I've bared my soul
something I don't do well in
"real" life

which makes me wonder because
I'm not a writer
maybe 'Im not the best person I know
either
Or maybe I don't know myself
well at all

And yet ....I do love it all and from inside
of dark places and from outside
of lighted pathways I sit
and wonder
Can I do this any longer
and why
Should I continue to write
from the deeper waters ?

Or swim quickly back to the
shallower end
safer end of the waters
And make that place quieter
and more serene
somehow
anyone know how to get
there from here?

      Hi,

You are one of the best profound writers here on HubPages and you do not need to swim to the shallow end to be safe. You are safe in being real and yourself. Look at the number of people who are fans and then smile because you are unique.

      Good Moring,

Oh Ed, you must never stop writing! Something tells me that you are a deep, but quiet man, a man like you doesn't need to say much because your presence says it all. These words you write touch people and it may be the only way you can truly speak from the deepest parts of yourself. I couldn't go on if your words were to stop! :-)

Oh I do suppose my friend that you can be at either or both ends by how you look at it. If this poem came from the deep end, how marvelous it must be. I do look forward to one from the other end, because no matter where you go, there you will be.

Sometimes i get ' burned out ' and unable to write or read another hub, but that feeling leaves in awhile and i have a desire to put pen to paper again. I know you will always write your feelings in prefound words, that's who you are and i enjoy your writing, you go deep within and i like that....
