I stand in the way

Updated on July 13, 2012

Gently firm

Is that the way that I learn

Obliquely clear

I've such a profound feeling when it's near

The polish and patina on life

Is a choice that we make

The discovery of yourself

Is something you just can't fake

While I'm seeking enlightenment

I stand in the way

It can be difficult to practice

The things that I say

I'm striving to become

Who I came to be

Whoever that is

It will be me

I laugh and cry

And rise and fall

I'm all there is

And nothing at all

I don't understand

What I've known all along

In my art and in my writing

I sing my very own song

Thank you. I'm new on here. I've been going through old files and papers looking at what I want to share. So much of it makes me cry when I visit it again. It's a good thing as Martha Stewart would say.
