"I, the Poet"

I, the Poet

Have earned my pen

Don't know where i'm headed

Just where i've been

Poor beginnings, poor future, poor me

Get high, get crazy, fuck it, live free

Face the dawn, no quill in hand, so... I'll use my bic

Imprison me, no pen in hand, so... I'll use my prick

Mad world to throw names at skin

Mad world if you don't sink you swim

Choosing not to tread; this middle child in purgatory

Convinced not of heaven or hell... but oh what a lovely story

I live MY book, pages turn slowly, day by day

I the Poet, ask only for understanding, with my pen i pray
