I think of you ... often

Updated on April 15, 2013

When Lonilness overtakes you..... all You have is your words

I think of you often..

I am sure you know

a forgotten love .. my mind says

it isn't so

the thoughts of you pass...

through my mind..

so slow

You broke my heart..

the seeds have been sown

you said... I was different

I said...

we were outgrown

Rushing together .. a blur in my mind

no sanity inside, only chaos I find

It is like a bad dream ..

from which I can not awake

like a vampires heart .. I await the stake

that will end it completely..

for better or worse

Someone... bring round the horses

hitch up... the dark hearse

Heartbreaking, I relate, so sad, so utterly speechless.

      Very strong expression:

      you said... I was different

      I said...

      we were outgrown

Rushing together .. a blur in my mind

no sanity inside, only chaos I find

I think everyone has a level of pain that they can relate to in the reading of your beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing, my friend. I love the striking imagery of the last two lines.

      Aloha!

The last line is particularly compelling and brave. And although dark, I like it very much.

It's so sad. It's beautifully done, but pulls at the heart, so, good job! I need a tissue now.

Whoa, how very dramatic!!! Your words paint a vivid picture here of the despair caused by a broken heart. Oh, I pray dearest friend, it is not you who has been so devastated by such one you cannot get out of your thoughts and mind. It is very hard, as we cannot make someone love us, and in reality, do you really want to be with someone who really does not care or love you in truth?

You are such a sensitive and loving person, as we all know, and there is one who will love you for who you are in this life---just being YOU!

      Voted up ++++ and sharing

God bless you. In His Love, Faith Reaper

So very sad...but poets know to make another feel our words is part of the power we crave...you always do that well. ^

I am so glad to read your poetry again Michael. You still got it. Sometimes words have a life of its own that makes poets sit down and write. OUCH! This one is to the core painfully sad.

This is a bit sad, but certainly can understand the depth of passion.
