Poem:I am in my 50's, and I am very proud!

Am in my 50’s

And am very proud..

Because it’s not

an age to be selfish

no age is to be selfish

After watching the

early signs of selfishness

Trying to take hold

of those babies

Where they somehow

Believe that everything

belongs to them

They will then resist

even the loving arms

Which have always

been feeding them.

After which a stranger

tries to hold them

then the crying starts

for those same arms

This is meant to be

used as training.

here is what I think

I am wise enough to

start looking at exactly

what makes people

feel good.at these ages

From what I can tell

It’s the thought of

Heaven and Hell!

I have heard so much

about these places

it's only foolish for me

to say that I did not know

Neither am I the one

laden with lying excuses

As a man I must get up ,

stand up to the treth

especially being that

I am in my 50’s

and at this time

My belief is straight

I believe that during these

ages are serious times

utterly urgent concerns

and rapidly decreasing

realities that can't wait!

of prime physical stages

Then again it’s your health

Sometimes when I look

at the faces of those who

are also carrying my age

I can somehow envision

what their thoughts are about

It’s really not hard to tell

I see their minds racing

in anticipation of the times

ahead where people

are known to either ber

Getting sick or staying well

I have seen enough

I am not one to wait until

the going gets rough

Just entertaining this thought

really give me the chills

I have not seen the dead

come up out of the grave

attempting to write their will.

Am in my 50’s and at

this age all those years before

If there were things that

I missed tthis time around

I will do my utmost

being sincerely honest !

I am in my 50”s

And I am very proud!
