In the Beginning - a Narrative Poem
They gathered in the Great Hall that overlooked the Garden of the Universe.
The Garden was a wondrous place. Those who stopped to rest found their spirits uplifted by its tranquil beauty; flowers of such vibrant colours seemed to change hue before they eye; delicate plants swayed in a gentle rhythmic breeze; a stream of crystal clear water flowed over burnished stones, whilst the leaves of majestic trees created dappled shade beneath sparkling sunlight. In the distance, a range of snow-capped mountains, their peaks hidden in a halo of cloud, seemed to stand guard over this Eden.
The Great Hall was alive with soft murmurings. All at once, a gentle peace permeated the Hall as He entered, His eyes shining, radiating love.
His voice rang out like a bell as He addressed His Council; they listened, their eyes alight with joy...
"I have decided to create a classroom. A place of learning for those who wish to experience the practical lessons needed to evolve. The energy within the lesson will be the Teacher...or Torturer; the freedom to choose will be granted to every individual to decide."
The Plan was perfection, designed without flaw or favouritism.
Questions were asked, which He delighted in answering.
Finally, one of the Bretheren asked, "What will you call this place, my Lord?"
"I was hoping one of you would ask me that. After much consideration, I have decided to call this seat of learning...Earth!"
