I Drift Upon Reason (poem)

Updated on May 26, 2013

I drift upon the reason I am here

The mornings blessed with promises of you

My everything in which I wander though

It all appears each heartbeat you are near

-

Each breeze surrenders sighs of something new

As ways of endless wonderment appear

My purpose for a dream is now quite clear

To show the vastness of a love this true

-

Who knows the meaning of the stars’ array

Forget forever right now is more dear

To mold into a lovers’ fantasy

-

Forgive me if your beauty makes me stray

I drift upon the reason I am here

And thank you for the moments spent with me

"Forget forever..." that is so true. Trying to second guess the future can cause us to miss the moments of NOW. This was beautiful, Martin. Thank you for expressing what many of us have felt (and still do).

Angels are on the way ps

I once thought that sweet romance and passion would always be

only a kiss away. It never occurred to me that it would be reduced

      to a memory.

      Good write, Martin.

It would be awesome if we could all show appreciation like this. Some of us (me) get so caught up in the moment that we forget .

Oh, Mh, I truly love this one immensely!!! I really love that line, "forget forever right now is more dear", wow, so very beautiful and sounds like more so in the present than in past poems of the past, and that is a good thing.

Love the video and music is so lovely.
