I wonder

Why the stars wink;

It's strange, but I think

That no matter how high some people climb

They will always be trapped by the bounds of their own paradigm.

Constrained by the masses,

Slaves to the trivial,

Endlessly encased in foolish habitual clashes

Organizing human souls into classes

I wonder

Why no one notices the stars wink;

And I think

they've begun to wonder the same

      Absolutely! I think my favorite more modern poet is Erin Hanson if I had to pick one! Though of older more established poets I'd have to say Robert Frost.

      I love poetry. Do you have any favorite poets?

      Excellent classy poetry Isabella. I got inspired to write ... Few lines. Thanks.

      Brilliance blinds the common, hence,

      Ignorance comforts their common sense.

      Such a well written poem wit great imagery, Bella. Most people are too concerned with their own little part of the world than notice the stars winking. I wrote a poem with a similar theme, recently.. The Unnamed Star.

      Simple, yet beautiful. You have a great way of expressing your poetic talents. Keep up the good works. I am excited to read more of your works.

      Thank you Shannon! I was worried it might be too convoluted for people to understand what I meant but that's exactly what I hoped for :)

      This is amazing. I love the imagery. And the simplicity of a simple thought that is also complex. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. But I'm sure the stars are winking at you after this creation!
