If I Have Tomorrow

Updated on June 3, 2012

If I Have Tomorrow

In the morning I'll call my friends,

I must call each and every one.

I'll ask each if they need any help,

Is there any job they want done.

If I have tomorrow.

I'll do all the things I have put off,

I'll say kind words I have not said.

Treat everyone a little different then,

I will help with the chores they dread.

If I have tomorrow.

I'll run errands for my neighbors,

Take food to one down the street,

Give a gift to a poor orphaned child,

I'll be kind to everyone that I meet.

If I have tomorrow.

I will call upon my dearest friend,

We'll chat of days long since past.

We'll take an hour on reminiscing,

Oh,how the time goes by so fast.

If I have tomorrow.

If I can sit down and relax awhile

That would make a happy day,

Mid dreams of things I would do.

I heard a small voice inward say

"You may not have tomorrow,"

I know that of my unselfish plans

These are things I should always do

The words that voice spoke to me

Are the words that I speak to you ,

"You may not have tomorrow!"

----------------------------------

I was watching a Christian program today

when these words came to me , as they

used to say"this is hot off the press.."

I was not planning on putting any more

poems on now.I will be off of here for

awhile .right now I am not sure how

long I will be off,I will still be writing

but it will be at home for awhile. I will

miss all of you and I appreciate all

of the nice comments that I had.

May God be with all of you, love,Clara

Hello Faith, it is good to hear from you .I just got back on last night after a period of having cataract surgery on both eyes and trying to get caught up on some things that really needed done around here. I went back to the doctor yesterday and he said that I have 20/20 vision. I am so glad to be able to see good again. Hope you enjoy the new poems that I will be putting on here. Love, clara

Dearest Clar, this is such a beautiful poem, as all your work is beautiful! I will miss reading your beautiful poems glorifying our Lord. Our pastor just happened to preach on this very subject, that we are only here for a short while, and we may not have a tomorrow.

      In His Love, Faith Reaper

      Hi Elijah,

It is a good thing that He does because I make a lot of them sometimes,Especially now, between the computer and my eyes I make a lot of them. I think I spend more time on mistakes than writing the poems Thanks for your comments now , I'll be back sometime ,God Willing. love, Clara

Hello Elijah, thanks fore your comment ,I know there will be a tomorrow somewhere but I was just talking about here on earth . We don't know how long we will be here and we must do everything that we can here on earth to help get people to Jesus , Sometimes instead of helping we can mess things up .God gives me poems to write and I never know if it is doing any good ,if it is really reaching any hearts , I guess God is the only wants that knows that, I will be off of here and I don't know when I will be back on ,the best to you always. love ,Clara
