If I and My Cousins are Superheroes: Chapter 1, Page 20

Updated on March 21, 2016

The #2 on my soundtrack is… Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

As far as I know, Snow Patrol is an Irish band.

Chasing Cars is a great song. In my home country, it is one of the most played songs by men. The voice of the band’s lead vocalist is cold, gentle, and soothing to the ears. I like the concept of the music video. There is a man who just lies on the ground while singing. It symbolizes detachment from worldly concerns and a carefree life.

The #3 on my soundtrack is… The Man Who Can’t Be Moved by The Script.

The Script is possibly another Irish band.

The Man Who Can’t Be Moved is another great song. It feels like it shares the same genre of music with Chasing Cars. Its music video is artistic but also somewhat ridiculous in real-life context. A musical background is really awesome. I wish that can be done not only in the movies, telenovelas, or videos on YouTube.

Some may call the music video’s main character ridiculous that he has gone too far for the love of his life. Maybe that is true. But his commitment is admirable.

The #4 on my soundtrack is… One Call Away by Charlie Puth

I do not know so much about the singer. I do not know anything at all about him. But he is a great singer. He has a wonderful voice. His song is simple. And I think its simplicity is the thing that the people loved about it. It is simple. It is not trying. It is subtle. But it is true. It is penetrating to the soul. It makes you grateful that you can feel.
