If Not For The Good At Heart
Upon this, as a terrible soil, and amid so much toil,
Are our Helpers, Watchers, and the Good of Heart.
All are just to keep us going, to keep us strong.
The power of each spirit, has an angel near it,
A builder of the soul and all within it.
Our helpers, to walk us straight, right all wrong.
If not for the Good At Heart, we all would drift apart,
Not feel as brothers and sisters, in every skin.
No one to encourage, relish a goodness in our lives.
All the chaos about us, brought to a whisper, a hush,
A rectifying force, helps to keep a wholesome course,
A world of pride and plenty, where all life thrives.
Sent from Heaven above us, to show our God does love us,
Each presence of all goodness, our lives to justify.
When our journey's at its end, a new life to begin, by and by.
While we're given a chance on earth, then to prove our worth,
Our Maker, pleased in our creation, performs a new ovation,
Better made, his pilgrims and all their kin. with each new try.
As new life does begin...by and by.
