If You Knew Death Was A moment Away

Updated on December 20, 2012

If You Knew Death Was A Moment Away

What could you do and what could you say

If you knew that death was just a moment away ?

Could you shout and be happy and ready to go.

Is there any doubt, are you sure that you know?

Would you think of loved ones ,no time to repent,

How they had ignored the invitations Jesus sent?

Did they once know Him as Savior, now not a friend,

Is this how they all react ,is this how it will end?

Once they truly knew Jesus.once they were his own

But now they are traveling this old world all alone..

No time now for prayer, they failed to when they could,

Would they say ,"Forgive Me'', if before them Jesus stood?

We may not have a moment ,instantly we may be gone

Will we walk through the valley with Jesus or go alone?

In an hour we think not Jesus Our Savior may come.

We must be prepared to go to Our Father's Home

None of us know when our earthly life here will end

But we know Jesus is the one on whom we depend..

When my earthly time here is over I want to say,

I want to meet Jesus face to Face and then fly way!

Clara Kish

On that day the tears of the parents of lost

one will probably flow like a river, but tears

won't help them.they have lost their last

chance for Heaven forever. Could there

ever be more pain than to know they

are going to spend Eternity with the

devil ? Pray now for the lost ones!

Hello Caleb , Thank you for the comment, it is always good to hear from you .We know what Jesus taught but unfortunately it is so hard to get people to believe. We knew that the world would not end yesterday but I could not believe the mockery that was heard on TV. like it would never happen. We know that someday Jesus will return and it does not seem like it will be too long the way the world is now. love. Clara

      Hi Clara,

True love is to warn others that if we do not accept the Way God has provided for us, and the conditions He has mandated then we will be lost to hell, as Jesus plainly taught. I see that love in this poem.
