If Your Tired I Don't Want To Hear It

Updated on August 19, 2013

I Told You To Come To Bed

You are stubburn and won't listen to reason

There is no time

You need sleep

Writing will have to wait

If you go to bed now you will at least get four hours sleep

You worked all day

It makes no sense

O.k. It is my choice

I want to write

Sometimes I have to do what I have to do

I can't explain it

It is who I am

I don't complain

I get up and go

There is a time for work and a time for play

Then there is a time to write and a time to sleep

If I go to bed now the story in my head will fly away

Who knows if it will come back another day

So I write with desire and passion

What else is new

So as I struggle to keep my eyes open all day

I will often ask myself one question

Was it worth it ?

The proof is in the pudding they say

My eyes are half closed and tired

Have a great day and may each day be a challenge

That we accept without hesistation or resistance

One that we take on and work hard with dillegence.

Once those thoughts start flowing, it is hard to turn away from them, isn't it? Keep writing!

A balanced out lifestyle is very important and sleep is always the best way to cure tiredness. Rest and feel good again, often the lack of sleep makes one feel down and tired.

Nell Rose I am so happy to have the support of so many other hubbers.Sometimes writing can't wait.I like to think of it as working a long hot day and you get home and are all sticky and sweaty.Sure your tired and want to crawl into bed but instead you hop in a nice shower to get all clean now refreshed go off to bed.You set your priorities no matter how hard it might be you follow through. You have to decide. No one else cares. The outcome will almost be the same if you take a shower after you wake up.The difference is you will sleep better knowing your clean. You made the choice. You push yourself beyond your normal limits.Sparklea You make a great point.I love to sleep and I appreciate it all the time.Who will actually know if I could of wrote the same story or better the next day.Kathryn Statford I look forward to you next work of art. I like to think of every writer as having a stroke of genious when they write and when they carry something out when it starts out of nothing and ends as something so wonderful and marvelous.Even if the the only value is the one we put on it.kidscrafts The tough part is how to squeeze each thing together so that it is like a water in a balloon you can sqeeze many times but all it takes is the wrong squeeze and pop water everywhere.I was going to write some more but I decided to get some needed sleep instead.Pleasant dreams and may all your thoughts be productive and put you in the right direction every day.Thanx everyone so much for all your beautiful comments.

There is a time for each thing for sure; work, play, sleep, etc... It's very important to leave a place for each!

      Enjoy your weekend!

Sometimes it's worth staying up a little later to get down our thoughts. Otherwise, we might have a hard time sleeping, afraid that what we didn't note will leave us. Once in a while it is worth feeling sleepy during the day.

      Have a great weekend!

By the way, I worked on the hub I was talking about last night, and hope to have it completed soon! By the end of the weekend, for sure. It'll be nice to post something, because it has been a while!

Voted up and useful...I would suggest, however, you get more sleep. Sleep is one of the greatest gifts from God...and it strengthens our immune system. If I don't get at least 7 hours a night, my concentration is not good...I can write so much better when I've had a good night's sleep.

My daughter is exhausted...she does not get enough sleep. It eventually catches up with her and she gets ill, then is bedridden for a couple days...

"For so He giveth His beloved sleep." that is in the Bible.

Just a thought. If I get real behind in my sleep I eventually get a sore throat, I get weepy, and my tolerance level is zero.

PS: my daughter was so tired a couple weeks ago she fell asleep at the wheel on a major high way...the only thing that saved her was the rumble strips at the side of the road. I thank God she is okay, but I worry about her all the time.
