If all she gave was a smile.....Poem

Updated on April 17, 2014

The great mystery of womanhood would be
enough with just her smile

The fierce winds of a hurricane
can't touch that by a mile

Adorned as she may be in solitude
or in dance
or in the nude

She owns the mystery
of life itself
just as I come unglued

I know now that solitude has become
master to this man

Yet in my next life might just one
woman understand

That this simpleton of a guy
has done all he can

I was no match for your clever beauty .......

The photo is on the outer banks of North Carolina on an evening surf.

To this day if my wife smiles at me in the morning I visualize it all day long.

Now I shall also think of this.
