If the Death Star blew up the entire Earth, which superheroes would survive?

Updated on May 9, 2016

Surviving the blast vs. surviving in space

There are many characters that could conceivably survive the initial blast, but might not survive in space. All of the Kryptonians would survive the blast and space(Superman, Supergirl, Power girl, etc.) The Incredible Hulk has been in space before and has been able to breathe, so has Lobo. All the Lanterns of every color can survive in space. There are characters that are probably strong enough to survive the blast, but might not survive outer space. Characters such as Black Panther and Luke Cage. Wonder Woman can hold her breath for a long time, but needs devices to breathe in space, I believe. What are some characters that would probably survive the blast, but would most likely die in Space?

What would the heroes do next?

What would be the next step after all the characters realized what had happened and got their bearings? They would go to the Death Star and destroy it, of course, but then what? I figure they would try to get to another planet, possibly another Earth in another dimension. But as far as I know, the only one who can consistently travel between Earths is the Flash and all the other speedsters, and he would be unlikely to survive the explosion, much less outer space. Other than that, portals have opened between worlds, like the one that brought Power Girl to Earth One, but those can't be controlled, as far as I know.
