Ignite a Spark

Updated on December 24, 2012

Sparks will fly

On a starry night

With dreams so big hoping

They don’t take flight

Brings forth feelings that play

In the drama at the end of the day

Holding on to dreams

That I create

In my crazy mind of my fate

Remembering that first look

With no worries

Like the ones in fairy tales

That weaves us stories

You were my hero

My lover you were

Our love was to savor

Bursting with taste with flavor

No matter when our spirits do die

They will float on our spirits and mouth goodbye!

Sparks will fly

Come on lets find a way!

Find a way to see your face!

Fighting deep within

With a soul of life

Makes me spin

As I close my eyes

I feel your spirit

I go to sleep

Deep in your world

Placing my life in your arms

You will never know

When I awake

The dream is gone

For heaven’s sake!

Feeling your lips on my taste’

Immobile mass of skin

Little needles pickling in

Your vibrations echo in my head

Pages unturned

Worlds unlearned

Forever unused

The wisdom is trapped

Your reflection is the same

Kissing the time of my life

With your life I should know

You may be a million miles away

Our futures yet to be foreseen’

Dancing with passion

In your night

With a form of expression

That is exploding

Into a sensation

That is so real

That ignites a Spark

Of Our hearts

Until Next year my love!

Good Night My love of long ago!

Wonderful Debbie your poem flows like mellow wine and if we mixed in some of Leslie's super and witty poems we'd sure have one wild combination. Passing this on. Hope all your dreams and wishes come true in the New Year for the both of you wonderful ladies.

Thank you so much for this. I started "dating" my wife, Arlene, again in 1991. Your words brought back that refrain.
