Ignored (a poem)

Updated on May 24, 2011

I don't understand

the way you are,

thoughts of yours

foreign to my world.

Fine for you

to walk and roam

everything you do

designed for only one.

Left out of your thoughts

a void consumes my being,

driven away

I forge my own path.

Nothing I can do

no change to come

no notice of my pain

you don't see all of me.

When you finally come back around

I don't feel close

shut out of your life,

an afterthought.

Even though it is darker, I like it.

We can't have the light without the dark, unfortunately that is the way of life. Rated up and awesome. I like your poetry, can certainly relate.

Love has good and bad. But, the bad seems to stick around for longer!

Oh...this one is very melancholy and descriptive. Once upon a time, I used to feel this way...after several times of feeling this way because of my desires which were not returned..I gave it up! At least for now. Love hurts! Thank you for a very deep and personal poem. UP BEAUTIFUL and AWESOME
