Immolated Dreams

Updated on August 26, 2012

Pushed amidst the circles of hell

She stands mercilessly betrayed

Independence eludes each sentiment

Even her death unfairly unstaid

Betrothed to unknown men and famiglia

Aspiring princessly adornation

Her highest accolade a burning pyre

And beauty fractured in smotheration

Relentless in her selflessness

Only not a soul pays heed

Obliterated whilst peaceful gestation

No moral right, even to plead

Rudely denied of beseechments

Victim of dogmatic misleads

Beneath the terrors of unforeseen extremes

Lay numb her immolated dreams

You, my friend, are as powerful a poet as we have on HubPages. This is so incredible it requires several readings. Well done!

My Brother, what can I say? You have a very deep, old soul. I can only imagine the depths from which your poetry comes forth. Where do you go within yourself to bring forth such soul bearing words?

You're amazing. You are, by far, the best poet I've ever had the honor to read!

I really felt a sense of mystery, it was very ominous! Most of your writing seem to have this effect upon me, I dont know why! haunting, foreboding etc...

But nevertheless, I see mixed reactions, but seriously great poem, I love your use of language, I always learn so much from them! Take care :)

Hello Shauna.... you are the most kind and wonderful person I have virtually met... and it pains me that I do not have the resources to meet you in person... perhaps, some day.. I will :)

for me Sister... when I see an issue .... I delve into it and advocate my favorite habit to which I am used to.... I feel the pain...... take the pain on my soul... and sometimes... I cry writing.... on the other sides... sometimes when I am lucky... I feel the pleasure... and it makes me ecstatic when I write...

Thank you so much for your tender love and care... and your continued support :)

Thank You for connecting Carly... I am glad you like it... Yes there is empathy but also a message... a question... to all of us.... us men infact... that is being androcentric... morally just?
