UPDATE: In Need of a Prayer or Two

Updated on August 11, 2012

UPDATE

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words. The interview went really well, since it was at 4 p.m. on Friday, I'm sure it'll be a few days before I hear anything. But Billy told me to 'claim it and it shall be mine!' So I'm claiming that job.... IT IS MINE!! Thanks again friends. I'll keep you posted.

I haven't been on hub pages very long, just a few weeks now. I am a fan of many co-hubbers and I feel confident I have a few fans and friends here as well. It is to those fans and friends I reach out to today.

Things have been kind of rough financially for me lately and I've been looking for full time work. I do work part time but it's not sufficient to keep the bills paid. Proof of that came around yesterday, while I was at work, my car was repossessed. But, it was starting to fall apart. The throw-out bearing was going out and the AC just quit. Keep in mind, I'm in Texas and the temperatures have been triple digits for several weeks now. And the old thing had over 250,000 miles on it. Anyway, the tires are bald and the brakes rattle too. I've been stressing about how I am going to get all those things fixed. So, from my point of view, the repo was a blessing in disguise. My daughter has a car and Billy has a jeep I can borrow, so I'm good!

Now, ya'll don't go getting confused on me now, ya hear? I don't want you to feel sorry for me because I really am ok. But, here is why I am reaching out asking for prayers. I have a job interview tomorrow at the local TV station for the position of Account Executive !!!! I never in a million years would have thought they would call me. I found the job on the Texas Workforce website and applied because the job matched my profile, that's what the system said anyway! I just applied last night and they called me first thing this morning!!! I am so excited I can't see straight. I really want this job... so ya'll please pray for me!!! I would truly appreciate it!

Thank you all!

Well, I'm still looking for another job, preferably a 'desk job'... being on my feet all day is taking its toll on my poor old knees! But no worries.... I DO have a job and many, many blessings!! Keeping faith that the right thing will come along.

Thank you so much! It's never to late for a prayer. I haven't heard back on the job yet, but they had several interviews this week as well, so maybe I'll hear back next week!

Lindalou, I am reading this late, but I am praying that all works out well for you. It is tough to have to look for employment in today's workworld. Your positive attitude and faith will pull you through this. We're in it together: Jer 29:11.

Linda...You have a wonderful attitude for someone who is coping with adversity. If your positive attitude shines through in your interview tomorrow, you should be viewed favorably by the person conducting the interview. (And you have my prayers, too.) Best wishes and let us know if you get the job. If you don't, there's probably a better one right around the corner.
