In Regards to Evil

Updated on May 12, 2011

You say that man is evil

Really, what do you mean?

He violated your conscience

before you rupture a splean

consider your beliefs are up in the air

when was the last time you lived them all?

Who knows what they believed

when they appalled you to fit the label.

those ones with funny clothing

the ones you hate so dear

do you know what they believe

what they would do for that belief

how strictly they adhere to what they know?

really for all of your blather

would you take your life

or give your all

and if you did when life's at issue

do you imagine those who misunderstand

who see you in camouflage or with a gun

that you then bear the label

blithely issued without a clue

perhaps its time to define evil

it might shock you where I draw the line

there is nothing worse

then one who does

that which they could not confess

the little dishonesties

the bigger ones

the slights and malcontents

the breaking of vows

making promises we do not mean

jading our sight with arousal's source

without counting the cost

when children and women fear the night

when a handshake isn't enough

when honor is sold

used as a glib reply

when a man can't be found

to hold office or wear a crown

who would serve without tyranny's call

when these things are

having no one to bleed to stop it.

then the complacent

are evil's thrall

So don't blame it on the Holy One

a third were lost to give you the right

to be evil with all your indifference

malicious or nagligent

to be filled with vice.

It's not His fault

he will not force

but the law will have its way

and then all the evil

will pay for their evil

and that is judgement day.

They who lay in wait do cross the line in thier heart first. This being said they are safe from me until they do something about it.

Well i think that the ones you are referring to join that club not to adhere to it's strictures, but to hide behind it's facade and pounce with careful planning. I could be wrong of course, but that's my spin on it.

As someone once said,"I neither deserve such praise nor such censure...." though as for that I accept them both with equal grace. I admit that I draw the lines differently then some. I find knowing the line to be instructional don't you?

I'm not sure what Ptosis is referring to or who...But you know Jagged Frost, I do appreciate your work. Maybe Tribute was the wrong terminology...But you know I enjoy your Poetry, and I know you appreciate mine...I was NOT Pissed off... What's that all about Ptosis? YOU don't know ME, or what I'm about.

I might agree with Jaggedfrost - nor understand his writing b ut I bumped him up because people like to negative vote anybody that impinges on faith that is built on sand.

I believe that if have solide faith on whatever you believe - that you wouldn't care what others belive in.

Go for it JaggedFrost - keep 'em pissed off!

All the Evil will pay for their Evil, and that is Judgement Day. I hope that line to be True Jaggedfrost. A very Powerful and Provocative tribute to Evil. Thanks for sharing.
