In Search Of Meaning

Updated on May 26, 2014

The People In Our Lives

We grow up each in our unique family

Surrounded by our blood relatives

Like it or not they are first connections to the outside world

Through them we experience the beginning of life

As we grow older we expand to friends and neighbors

If we belong to a church or special groups they also will influence us in different directions

We go to school where we see so many peers our own age

Later if we continue on to college we may meet students from all over the world

When we start our first job we have coworkers that we see on a daily basis

Sometimes more than family

Through all these people they become our window of our world

They can inspire us to greatness or lead us down a path of trouble

Each day we have to decide who we are going to stay friends with or part ways

Have you ever looked closely at who your friends our and what direction they are going in life

By now you may have met someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with

How many people look at that persons beliefs and see if they connect with theirs ?

So from this day forward they may continue to grow and become the person they were meant to be

Over time you will see your life reveal who you through all your choices

May life be good to you and prosperity always follow

Your poignant poem is a practical look at an individual life, but we may need to consider 'meaning' on a larger scale. "Meaning" on the universal level is impersonal and virtually lacking. But on that individual life's level, meaning is what the individual imbues into that life. Otherwise, it doesn't exist or 'just happen'.

It's essential to understand the impersonal realities if one is to surpass them for one's personal life. Then, one can build with sure steps and tend to what one has built on a daily basis.

      Hi dream-on.

Very panoramic view on progression of human day-by -day lifespan. We might never know how profitable are the interactions with people we meet and stay with us,- especially those who unselfishly love and cherish our mutual trust, hope and support.

      Voted up and interesting.

      Have a very nice day.
