In Your Eyes - A Love Poem

You’ve gathered up my love
With the sweep of your eyes
Your lashes touched my soul
While you blinked at me
From across the room
A place, I know I long to go
It feels just like yesterday
When into my life you came
Days fly by so swiftly
As today lies our memories
Dying to be brought to life
To be renewed, and for always
Just snapshots in time
Nights lonesome and still
Closing the door behind me
Yet without a window
Only space for us to breathe
To truly realize, we cannot fail
And with those eyes
So gentle as they sweep
Lashing at my heart
Letting my feelings glide
Wanting back what’s good
You are all, everything to me
A chance to erase the past
Make new memories
Love with all of our being
Getting back what was lost
By knowing we will survive
Because this love, is worth saving

Beautiful. Thank you for the great read!
From a male perception, the attraction begins with the courtship of the eyes. It's allurement was it's aloofness...yet the anticipated promise so enticing :)
