In The Mirror (tanka)

Updated on January 29, 2015

There in the mirror

Was the one I had become

Staring in wonder

From its world across the glass

Why it was we couldn’t see

Sometimes less is more...such is the case with this tanka....I am always in awe of your ability to choose just the right combination of words to create your works.

Angels are on the way :) ps

Oh the power of reflection! Sometimes the person I know the least is the one staring back at me. Loved it!

Some of us don't like looking in that mirror for fear of what we might see. Like age lines, crows feet...lol! While some of us choose to see the youth we still hold inside. I liked this one. It got me thinking...: )

That's what others see, but we know what we're like inside.
