"Infested" by Eric Wayne Flynn

Updated on October 26, 2013

Seven billion festering and fighting for crumbs

Such special beings we are each and every one

Numb hearts and minds pass time, sugar cubes dance on our tongues

Pavlovian chimes, we salivate with slime, the bell tolls for us, it's rung

Full throttle, in a race that can't be won

Speed on we shall, till our race is done

To all who have commented on this poem, thank you. Wavelength to me is, we all must start with ourselves, for we can only control what we do, which is hard enough... control ones self is the only way to do it... supreme being- i would love to be saved, ha.. thanks for understanding the thought

This is profound to say the least and on target unless you are a believer in the supreme being.

The question is how do we all get on the same wavelength now? Great hub.

Love it! Great expression, creatively defining who we are as one. Poignant commentary on the journey and eventual demise of an overpopulating human race. Good job. Looking forward to reading more. Voted up, awesome, and sharing.
