Initial Reaction

Your take on family is different from mine.

we carry each others burdens in family divine.

I thought so universally, not recognising there were qualifiers.

This situation is strange, but hopefully it will change.

We have all things in common, but not all thoughts,

so these things in common we don't know how to distribute.

Aren't we in danger of making the Provision moot?

If I have two cloaks, I will give you one if you ask.

And if there is work, two get a better return for the task.

Annanais and Sophira learned from holding back,

That God does not justify our withholding good from those who deserve it,

-Is our sharing not part of God's Provision Perfect?

Or are we too much bought into a culture were "You're worth it"

Is how we spend Provision Perfect?

I think our culture has a heart defect.

Grace, this is a very timely poem at Thanksgiving. I enjoyed reading it. :-)
