Inspirational Poem #23 Elderly

Updated on July 16, 2011

The saliva drool
The bowel default
The food decrease
The pain increase
The stress develop
The disease you carried in you
Confiscate the life you use to have

You lost your voice
You couldn’t speak
All you could do is silently mumble
Or frantically scream
But no one cares and left you in that chair

Quote: ~ Having to work in the nursing home quite a long time, I have realize that lots of elder that lives in the nursing home has been abused and have been cared less by a lot of nurse. Working 8-12 hour per shift find me difficult to see the life of many patient being treated inhuman and this doesn’t mean all facility but most of the facility that I worked at. Everyone should be treated with respect whether the person is incapable of caring him or herself. ~

I would never ever put my parent in the nursing home nor I will live in one. I would have to agree with you. I have explored the world in the nursing home as a Nurse aid myself and it was very difficult and heart breaking. This is why I don't work anymore because of how sorry I felt for the elderly.

That's why I say give me the cyanide pill, so I can fall asleep quickly and never wake up in an elderly home where abuse is rampant. I would rater be dead. Thank you for the reminder, now I know for sure I don't want to end up there, so I will make sure I end it before they do.
