Inspirational Poem #5 The Past

Updated on July 10, 2011

Your past wasn’t as good enough
It hunger your pain
Your life seem falling
Into that open drain

Nightmares hunt you down
Wake up sweat in vain
Morning comes to hell
No lightness in your day

You claim to have struggle
Linger into your own pain
Hope has gone far gone
Nothing left but darkness and rain

Your life seem quite miserable
All you did was sit in the rain
The past has hung to your life now
Your heart is falling apart

If you live your life in the past
Along with the pain
You’ll never see the daylight of your own future

For the past it is your life
For the past it is your home
But you also have to think about
What your future hold

Life in the past is the past
It follow you to the future
But only bring good memories
And good lesson you learned with you

Now open up your eyes
Let suns start to raise
Wake up from the storm
And set your goal high

Let your present life live
In the happiness of joy
Let the past be the past
And encourage yourself what your future can hold

Quote: ~ Life in the past can haunt you if you continue to let the past disturb you. Allow yourself to live today and tomorrow with just few memories.~

i love this poem. this inspired me! just make me feel that i shouldn't be living in the past because this will make me feel upset about myself. but i still linger on the past because i have been abused by my mother. so it is hard to let go sometime.
