What are my favorite authors, books, and which one ones do you think inspired you as a writer:
My favorite book(s) is/are The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. One of my other favorite works is Frankenstein too.
Profession Outside of Writing: I'm an educator. I write part-time.
What is your educational background: I have a bachelor's degree, a master's in secondary education, and a master's degree in creative writing.
Could you provide the name of some of your publications: My recent publications have been published are SILENCED, COZENED, BROWNE CANDIDATE and THE SOUL CAGES. These are my novels, but I have been published in several anthologies and magazines.

What are some projects you are working on? I'm currently writing a weird western for an anthology and working on the novel sequel to THE SOUL CAGES.
How do you think as an African American writing in this genre will help the genre evolve? Diversity is integral to the genre as a whole developing and evolving. Different voices, cultures, and approaches to conflict. Those various voices can only enrich the genre and move it beyond its vanilla and European roots to become more inclusive.
What direction would I like to see the genre go in the future? Naturally, I would love to see the genre evolve to include diverse peoples without it being forced. It would be common to see a variety of stories told from different peoples across the world and all of them would be a common part of science fiction stories.
How do I want to be remembered as a writer? I want to be remembered as a writer who challenged herself, social and genre norms, and told authentic stories that helped others connect to themselves, others, and to the world.
