Is There A Word For That?

Updated on July 15, 2012

When you thought you'd miss something

So much

Something that was once all you thought about

But then days and weeks go buy

And you realize you don't miss it much at all

Is there a word for that?

Or what about the opposite

When you don't take losing something

Very seriously at all

You tell yourself you won't miss it

But then you do

A lot

Is there a word for that?

What is the word for leaving

When you want to stay?

What is the word for missing someone

That you don't love?

And what is the word for loving someone

That you don't need?

I just can't find the words for anything

Anymore

Those are some of the eternal questions of life, and there are no words for those feelings and sensations. That is one of the problems we as writers face....to express that which cannot be expressed.

      Great poem!

I love poetry Koshaugh, and this one is definitely a keeper. On a subject we can all relate to. Beautiful!

Very deep. This is a question I know I've asked myself and I think most people can relate to it. Questions sometimes make the best poems.

Contrary to popular opinion, I find I'm short of a word often enough to make good use of my Windows Thesaurus. Nice little piece that could be developed into a theme.

Very original way to come at this tough part of life. I too find myself without words when my emotions are doing all the talking.

      Wonderful job.
