Is it wrong to be gay?

Updated on May 5, 2011

His soul has been crushed

By people holding sign

People out for demonstration

Against his crime

He is dying

Deep down inside

His guilt of following his heart

Buried him alive

No one did accept him

For whom he is

Even his own family

That he had trust

Frustration linger

As he sees the sign

Tears been shedding

As hope is broken

He hid himself in his room

Embarrassed for his own action

And start questioning himself

“Am I wrong for being gay?”

He stood quietly

On a 50 foot building

Throwing his life upon

The dirt he once walked on

Before his death he left us a question

“Is it wrong to be gay?”

I'm in tears here. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend.

I'm sorry for the lost of your nephew. I believe that people should respect other people feeling. My friend died at 16, he jump off his apartment. By the time I notice his death, it was already to late and he left me a voice mail and ask me is it wrong to be gay? He was so depress but I didn't have time for him because I was at track practice. after listening to his voice mail, I ran to his apartment and emergency responder was surrounding the building and what I saw was his life less body laying there on the cement. This was why I wrote this poem.

      Thanks! :)

No, I don't believe being Gay is wrong. People are who they are. I had a Nephew who was gay. He was a kind, sweet person who was mistreated by his family. He died at the age of 24 I wrote a poem about him. I hope you will read it. the title is 'Little love was he ever shown' I wrote about his struggles. If we would have love in our hearts instead of hate, we would welcome all people.

      Cheers

I'm glad that you did. I believe that everyone has a right to follow their heart and reach for their dreams like anyone else whether they are gay or not. I have friends who is gay and they are amazing!

No. My opinion changed when I discovered that one of my sons was gay.
