Island I return .......V Poem

Updated on March 3, 2014

By instinct alone I reach out in a dream
and take the gift that's revealed

I pull her hand to my breast and look down
as if I .....could learn to feel

There are no words in this dream we
speak only by silent glances

No I can never see beyond tomorrow
waking steals away all chances

But for this hour we love in the sand
an impossible grace and oh how she tortures me

The mermaids are always this way though
I've learned to just let it be

I awake in a sweat and turn to the
shore where we had lain in pleasure

It mustn't be easy for mermaids either
yet what a lustful treasure

Nellieanna ! Hello my sweet lady , I must apologize too , I've been out of the loop as well . For the most part I pop in to get something "off my mind " or something . You know , for me at times there is a love hate thing with writing ! Lately it seems to be creeping into other avenues of my life as well . However, if I died tomorrow or simply stopped writing I will never forget those like you ! Who have graced my life here ,and for that - Thank you !...Ed

oh, wow. That's erotic in a rather subdued way! You do paint a picture. I can see that I need to read the previous 4 chapters of this series! I confess that I've been rather out of the loop lately. I miss your works! My loss - but not for long!
