When I saw this particular book I wasn't really looking for another devotional. However, glancing through the pages I noticed it wasn't the "normal" type of study guide that most are like, but indeed has a fun side that the entire family could enjoy.
Since most are familiar with the classic film "It's A Wonderful Life" the author brings a spiritual aspect into the story and includes other favorites we like to include in our Christmas celebrations.
An example of some of the other Christmas stories we might know are based on A Charlie Brown Christmas, A Christmas Carol, Gift of the Magi, Frosty the Snowman, White Christmas, the Nutcracker, Babes in Toyland bringing the total to 31 different and very unique devotionals.
Scattered throughout the book are interesting facts or trivia about each of the topics and scriptures coinciding with the lesson.
These passages could easily be discussed at family time, over dinner, in a class setting, Bible study or personal study. Average reading only takes about five - ten minutes and would be excellent for Advent.
The book offers inspiring quotes, poems, scriptures and prayers. Softcover and slim line, this 160 page (paperback form) treasure from Barbour books is so affordable as a bargain book that you can give several away to friends, family or strangers as a gesture of holiday cheer.
In the end we purchased several copies of this to give as gifts. because it was such a good value.

Did you know that there is a sequel to It's a Wonderful Life in the making. It's true, and it was supposed to be released December 2014.
It was been pushed back to 2015, then 2016 ...
Well, it's been decided Paramount won't give any permission for the story. I'm kind of glad about that.
