It's Christmas! It's Christmas! In The World of wrenchBiscuit

wrenchBiscuit said: "Being born is the most severe form of suicide. Not ending in a moment. But one moment ending for a lifetime."

It's Christmas
It's Christmas

The pursuit of happiness has taken it's toll
With no love and compassion
We have nowhere to go
But to Macy's to Walmart
Then back to the bank
Because Jesus wasn't crucified way up on a hill
But on a nickel a dime and a two dollar bill

At least that's what a homeless veteran said
Talking to himself and holding his head
I guess that's where the bullet came in
Sometimes they never come out again
He was holding a sign that said "What For?"
I sat down beside him to take a rest
And then he leaned and whispered

It's Christmas
It's Christmas
Christmas Is The Greatest Cause of Death

And so he continued
Take for instance World War Two
Ann and Margot Frank died because of many things
Along with six million other Jews
And that's old news
But it hurts me to my soul just the same
Because it could have been avoided
And I know who to blame

It's Christmas
It's Christmas
Christmas Is The Greatest Cause of Death

Many have died since before 2011
In Aleppo and througout Syria
Some say it is because of Assad
Death Squads
And a U.S. backed proxy war
But I'm afraid there is something more

It's Christmas
It's Christmas
Christmas Is The Greatest Cause of Death

Young black men dying
Young white men too
And the Indigenous
And half breeds like me
Laid waste with impunity
With no justice served
Have you heard?

It's Christmas
It's Christmas
Christmas Is The Greatest Cause of Death

If just for one whole year we could stop
Glorifying flags and patriotic songs
That diamond ring
The new car we just got
If for 365 days
We focused on how lives could be saved
How to end the violence
And stop digging the graves
How to give the greatest gift of all
The gift of life wrapped up in bows
But the trouble I've seen
Nobody knows
How deep the darkness
How great the test
How sweet dreams of being laid to rest

It's Christmas
It's Christmas
Christmas Is The Greatest Cause of Death

My bus arrived and he wandered away
And no one cried "Stop!"
Because no one cared
When he jumped off of the bridge and into the air
And with a shout he declared with one final breath

It's Christmas
It's Christmas
Christmas Is The Greatest Cause of Death

      Diane, "...against GOD'S will?"

GOD "TESTS!" GOD "allowed" LIES to be entwined in Scripture to "see" if one has "PASSED TEST!"

Who "leads and guides [one] into ALL truth" (John 14:26)? How then do we "connect" to be "lead?" IF we've "PASSED THE TEST" we will KNOW (Discernment of Truth)!

How many in Scripture were "TESTED?" Why then do we think we will not be? As in school, if you don't "STUDY" to find out what we MUST do to "PASS THE TEST," then we'll FLUNK!

GOD TOLD US WHAT TO DO TO "PASS THE TEST!" "WAIT" (Acts 1:4) for the HELP (John 14:26) who would "lead and guide [us] into ALL truth!"

You: "He is the same snake that has perverted the teachings of Jesus since Constantine began to pervert the Christian faith by injecting materialism, and by building grotesque Cathedrals throughout the empire."

Me to you: This was done absolutely against God's will.

You: "We all have our place and our purpose. If you are comfortable with your station then I expect that is where you should be. It is not so easy to direct and control my own life."

Me to you: My purpose is to know God and bring glory to Him. You are carrying a lot of weight that you need not carry. Consider God's Word: Matthew 11:29

29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

You: "I do not have the strength, the will, or the understanding to challenge your purpose. "

Me to you: That is the problem. You are trying to live life in your own strength rather that trusting and depending on God. My devotion this morning is around my favorite verses in the Bible:

      2 Corinthians 12:9-11

9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast [a]about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with [b]insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

      consider: 1 Peter 5:7

7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

I will keep you in my prayers.

Don't worry! Donald Trump will bring MOST 'back to reality!' When people are denied all 'government assistance' and learn to 'pull together,' we will return to reality! Unfortunately, the rich will get richer and the poor poorer!

'Churches' should be our place of hope! Our ONLY 'hope' is in GOD! However, if they don't have the 'Basics' (aka Truth in HIS WORD) it will not work!

"The Time Is NOW" to learn how to "connect" to GOD for "leadership and guidance" (John 14:26)! "The Time Is NOW" to "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness (Matthew 6:33) and ALL THINGS will be added unto you!" There's NO WAY one can fight this cruel world (Satan) without the HELP of GOD!

Not only have I been 'TRYING' to tell ALL how to save their souls, but what I've been 'quoting from Scripture' also prepares one for the days ahead!

Unfortunately, RELIGION has taught MOST the HELP is "religiously incorrect" and "demonic!" What better way to make one fail in this life and the life to come!

      wrenchBiscuit Riding on the Sufferbus

      Diane,

I agree that this is about free will. And I am also exercising my free will. But I am not Don Quixote as some would have you to believe. I can see my enemy. He is real, and he is not a rusty old windmill. Of course I am talking about people. It is people who are suffering because of the evil that drives a holiday like Christmas. And it is people who are prospering from the misery of humanity.

People go to the bank, and their is a friendly smiling face at the counter, and there is most likely a security guard there for "your protection", and surveillance cameras everywhere, also for "your protection". But a man who is doing the right thing does not need all of that protection. He only needs such things when he is doing the devils work, and walking a crooked path. He is the same snake that has perverted the teachings of Jesus since Constantine began to pervert the Christian faith by injecting materialism, and by building grotesque Cathedrals throughout the empire.

We all have our place and our purpose. If you are comfortable with your station then I expect that is where you should be. It is not so easy to direct and control my own life. I do not have the strength, the will, or the understanding to challenge your purpose. But I know my purpose as best a mere mortal could understand. And I know there are others like me. I am speaking to them. And many are mistaken when they imagine that I am trying to "enlighten" the world.

Such a thing cannot truly be done. I can enlighten an arrogant man no more than I can give a donkey, or a cockroach a greater understanding. No, my purpose is not to enlighten, but to reinforce and to stand in solidarity with my people. And in this context, my people are those who do not need to be enlightened, but those who need to be encouraged to keep their foot on the right path, their heart in the right place, and to keep their pace steady.

Collectively we must abandon the pursuit of happiness, embrace our suffering, and then break this evil spell that has turned the people into sheeple, and that has made the business of war, poverty, and destruction, acceptable to the masses. Each year they have their pagan celebration of Christmas, and they speak of "Peace on Earth ... Good Will Toward Men", but the killing never stops, and there is no end to an old misery. I am relentless, and I have rebuked them all. I will never be ashamed of the truth, nor will I be afraid to speak it, because I am standing here at my station. For those of us who can work the wheel, there is a great power in the suffering, and I will suffer as long as I can. And when I can no longer bear the weight, I will be at peace once again.

WB, you are still talking about the actions of people. Yes, at Christmas, people spend a lot of money they don't have on things they don't need and won't last. God gave us free will and that's what most choose to do with it. We can't be responsible for the foolishness of others. We can be accountable for ourselves. Unfortunately, I see the situation getting worse. Planning for Christmas starts in August so people will spend more money. Again, God has nothing to do with that. It takes the attention away from God. Many atheists love Christmas ... time for family and friends they say. The other day, Michelle Obama said "We know what it is like to have no hope." (not verbatim). My hope is in Jesus so that doesn't apply to me.

      I BELIEVE WORD (GOD)!

Under the New Covenant the ONLY WAY "one can't enter" (Hebrews 3:19) is because of "UNBELIEF" which is the root of ALL unrighteousness. Jeremiah 31:34 "...And I will remember their SINS no more!" Did HE LIE?

      Merry Christmas!

Of course it is Diane, and I will tell you why. The social engineers will gladly explain all of the reasons for homelessness, and why there are so many homeless veterans. But overall, these so-called professionals are worthless individuals, and we may as well pile up all of their fancy certificates and credentials and set them ablaze. Let us look at the numbers, because therein lies the truth.

      ==============================================

      • There are over 300 million people living in the United States.

      • There are approx. 642,000 Social Workers in the United States

      • There are approx. 50,000 psychiatrists in the United States.

      • There are approx 106,500 psychologists in the United States.

      • There are approx 200,000 primary care physicians in the United States

      • The Veterans Admnistration currently employs approx.341,000 people.

      • There are 519,682 elected officials in the United States including 2 in the Executive Branch, 100 in the Senate, and 435 in the House of Representatives.

      • The U.S. covers 2.3 billion acres of land. 375 million acres are in Alaska. The land area of the lower 48 states is approximately 1.9 billion acres.

Developed Land: Only 66 million acres are considered developed lands. This amounts to 3 percent of the land area in the U.S., and is home to 75 percent of the population.

Rural Residential Land: The total acreage for rural residential is 73 million acres. Developed and rural residential make up 139 million acres, or 6.1 percent of total land area in the U.S.

      ===============================================

I will let you tally up the numbers if you wish. But as you can see, there is an army of so-called professionals and scholars here in the United States who are trained to help people in various ways. We are also using only 6% of the total land area of the United States, and so there is no excuse for homelessness. Yet, in a nation of over 300 million, with this entire army, with all of the money and resources at their disposal, and with all of the lip service paid to U.S. military veterans about how wonderful they are, we just can't seem to do it; we can't seem to get 50,00 veterans off of the streets. We can't seem to find a way to give them a second chance to live, instead of merely existing in the shadows; out of sight out of mind on a dirty dead end street.

This story is presented as a fictional poem, but it is based on facts. It is a fact that most suicides are committed in the springtime. That means there is a two month window each year that we have to work with. That means we have two months after the day of Christmas to convince those at risk that life is still worth living. But what are the majority of Americans doing during that two month period? They are working to pay off the debt they accrued during the Christmas season! They are also looking forward to their income tax returns, so they can pay bills and buy more material things.

Christmas brings not only a financial burden to many, but also creates a major distratction. The time, money, and energy spent on Christmas and other holidays would be better spent toward saving lives, and improving the quality of life for millions of Americans. But we cannot do one thing, if our heart is set on always doing the other thing, and that other thing is the fulfillment of our selfish desires. Jesus not only suffered the agony of the cross, but he also suffered the agony of temptation, as he was also a man. And it is only natural for a man to lay down with a woman. And in the teachings of Jesus, there is a valuable lesson that a great many Christians have yet to learn. Rather than look forward to Christmas and celebration, we should be looking forward to our own suffering. Because if the majority were willing to suffer, and to deny themselves in order to ease the suffering of others, then something miraculous would happen. All suffering would soon cease to exist! There simply could be no suffering, as we define it today, if we were as anxious to sacrifice for others, as we are to enrich ourselves.

This poem is a communication between a homeless veteran and a man waiting on a bus. Your, or my interpretation of Christmas does not matter to this man. This man remembers that he once had a life, but Christmas only reminds him of the warm faces that have disappeared, and the cold indifferent faces that have now taken their place. And it is also important to note that the poem begins with the homeless man speaking about Christmas. However, this encounter does not occur during the Christmas season, but at a bus stop on the first day of spring. It is not mere poverty that drives a man to kill himself, but it is only the hopelessness born of a broken heart. On his last Christmas day, the man finally put it all together. He finally understood that the Jewish Holocaust, and every malicious and indifferent act that has followed, embodies the true spirit of Christmas. What he observed during the last Christmas season confirmed it.

Hundreds, perhaps even more than a thousand people passed by him standing there on his favorite corner during the week preceding Christmas.Yet, he understood that even the ones who put money in his cup, and then quickly walked away, did so to simply assuage their own guilt. Yes, a man needs money in order to eat, and to buy a pillow for his head, but a broken heart cannot be mended with a dollar bill. The homeless man understood that if Christmas truly embodied the spirit of Jesus, then people would have been standing in line so that they might ask, "Brother, what troubles you so ? What has brought you to this wretched condition? and "How can I help you live again?" But instead, he saw them standing in line to buy new clothes, new watches, new diamond rings, new toys, new cars, and the best food with which to fill their fat greedy faces. And what made it worse, was the fact that he knew their were millions more just like him; millions who had been cast aside like an old and worn out pair of shoes. And so, Christmas was the straw that broke the camels back. And by the coming of spring this man knew that he could not endure another day. The previous Chritmas season had underscored the fact that he was the last person on Earth who even cared. And so, from many perspectives, especially his own, he was absolutely correct when he said:

      It's Christmas

      It's Christmas

Christmas is the greatest cause of death

Diane, the root of sin is UNBELIEF not a "selfish desire to put yourselves above all others." John 8:24 "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you BELIEVE that I AM he, you will die in your sins." When one "BELIEVES that HE is HE" (Not that HE exists but HIS WORD (ALL) is TRUE and "OBEYS") then one BELIEVES!

Hebrews 4:11 "Therefore let us diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of UNBELIEF."

      Merry Christmas!

WB, Christmas is not the cause of death. Sin entered the world through Adam. Sin is that selfish desire to put yourself above all others. God, in His wisdom, provided a gift of eternal life with Him. People who really want to be Christlike will not contribute to the death, greed, pride, etc., that has a death grip on this world. God has given it over to Satan. That's why there is no hope for this world outside of Jesus Christ. I can't convince you but I can give you my testimony.

WB, this 'world' is Satan's kingdom (I John 5:19) so what do you expect? Therefore, there are only going to be "a few" (Matthew 7:13-14) that "understand" because of "Obedience" to His "commands" (John 14:15)! The MAJORITY will continue to strive for "worldly' possessions within *their* own power vs doing as Scripture has said and will try to attain "by any means necessary!" They don't take into consideration "TRUTH !" II Corinthians 4:18 says "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the thing which are not seen: for the things which are seen ARE TEMPORAL; but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL!"

MOST will say "This is the REAL world" with no thought that we are 'spirits' and "the REAL world" is only TEMPORARY!

lovemychris, I agree that these problems could have been solved a long time ago. But those in control do not want to solve them. They are not seeking equality among men. A classless society is their worst nightmare, because in such a society they would no longer be rich and powerful. People do not understand how they are ruled by the banking system, but they are truly enslaved by it.

Norine, I don't recall throwing anyone in a basket. But if I did determine you needed a little "time out", I would gently place you in the basket with all due respect. I don't know what everyone does or how they do it. What I do know is this: Many people don't believe in prayer, nor do many appear to believe in the power of positive thinking. Even fewer believe in the power of negative thinking, and we have to understand that a world without some form of negativity, or adversity, would surely fall apart and

evaporate, as there would be nothing to keep the balance.

I take nothing for granted. As far as I know you could be an angelic being. But what I see all around me is very disturbing. Success is measured by money and material possessions. And to be perfectly honest, it makes me want to vomit when I consider the amount of suffering in the world.

I wish you would understand when one has been "anointed" ("WAIT;" Acts 1:4) by the HOLY SPIRIT and have obtained HIS POWER (Acts 1:8); "LOVE" is automatic! GOD gives LOVE that "surpasses ALL understanding" (Philippians 4:7)!

MOST don't have the 'resources' to take in "every" homeless, neglected, under privileged person that exists, but HELPS those GOD sends into our lives according to the 'limited resources' we have!

You can't throw all into a basket and say we are ONLY materialistic (Although it sickens me how commercial Christ's Birthday has been taken advantage of by 'greedy' merchants!) when (I don't know about others) we (Family) celebrate Christ's Birthday!

Scripture tells "Christians" in Colossians 2:16 "Let no man 'judge' you in respect of a holyday..." and the birth of Christ is considered "a holyday" in my household!

Now concerning the "homeless," when GOD sends one into my life (and HE DOES), I "OBEY" what HE "puts in my heart and mind" (Jeremiah 31:33-34; Hebrews 8:10; 10:16) while fulfilling my obligations as a wife and parent; according to Scripture!

What's "coincidental" about you and your concern for "Homeless Vets" is, I was thinking to before your posts (and since my husband is a Disabled Vet), How I can I be of more help?

      Merry Christmas!

just the amount of money spent on the prez elections could solve everything. a 1% sales tax on biz transactions could solve world hunger.

its too far gone tho. we just have to wait til it blows up and start from scratch.

in the past twenty years, a million dollars has gone from a lot of money to we have billionaires living here who pay no taxes.

its going to blow up. im just waiting, and we will bury money for good.
