It's To Early To Get Up

The Time is 5:55 A.M.

I was sleeping just fine

I feel my cat Charlette clawing the edge of my blanket

Stop it

Go to sleep

Hours earlier she was tucked under my arm in dreamland

Now she is ready to begin her day if I am ready or not

Sometimes I can put some food in her dish and she will eat a little and be happy

Her dish a quarter full already so I top it off

She only eats dry food and she gets real picky

If her dish is low she will snub her food

Maybe she doesn't like her whiskers touching the bowl

If she is real hungry she will finish everything

Off the table as I reminder her for the 10,000 time

She listens well

The whole house is quiet

My wife in a sound sleep

It's just you and me Charlotte

Half the world is asleep

Back to work today and a lovely dentist appointment later

Just a cleaning

That's a good thing

I am not crazy for dentists

I know they are important but that is one of my least favorite things

Charlette settled down as I pull up her chair next to mine

Now she gives me that look like What , What did I do ?

Welcome Monday it's 38 degrees outside

A little chilly here 62 degrees in the house

Still a little early for the heat and a long winter still to come

My eyes still adjusting to the bright florescent overhead light

My body not too far behind still stiff from being woken up abruptly

Well still looking forward to a great day

I wonder what will happen today ?

My cat has gone back to sleep

I have been tricked

My cat looks back at me

Who would of guessed it

A cat with a sense of humor

It's not April I tell her it's October

She smirks
