I've Got An Itch

Updated on May 23, 2012

I'm Dieing To Sratch

If I could only reach the spot in the middle of my back

I would scratch and scratch

Ahh that feeling that feels so good

It is an itch that won't go away

Inbetween my shoulder blades it stays

Just a little out of reach from my hand

I know I will find something to rub in that most unusual spot

I grab a pen and it feels good but I still want something better

A ruler will work it is bigger and once again the itch has stopped

Now within the hour the itch has returned

So I run to the corner of the door way

Up and down I go moving my back to and fro

Then side to side

Both ways works so well

Once again a feeling of relief and a sigh

As the itch has disappeared

Only a few minutes have passed

Now this time the itch has returned faster and itchier than ever

I take off my shirt and see if I have been bit

What is with this ?

This is not just an itch but a uncontrollable urge to scratch

I look in the mirror I don't see anything

If it was posion ivy or posion oak I would have a rash all over

There is no sratch

Just an itch that keeps coming back

Maybe it is in my head

Maybe it is all the things that I don't get time to do

So I make a list as long as my arm

I write and write thinking of all the things I want get finish today

As I do them I will check them off one by one

So my itch is an urge to reach something I have not done

As I hurry to do as many things I can the itch keeps returning

The same place again and again

I'm in my car and the itch is back

I drive over to the side of the road and put my car in park

Then I wiggle and squirm

Hoping to stop the itch

Gone for now

Then I am in a supermarket and quess what happens next ?

Yes you are right

I run up and down the isle looking for anything to rub that itch

I see a broom I will use the handle of the stick

As I rub my back an old lady walks by

I never.... what are you thinking ?

I am going to get a manager

I looked at her with eyes of joy as I rub an itch in my back

Then she storms her cart away

I am silent now without a word

I leave before I can be spotted and finish my list

The itch has finally stopped for how long I don't know

But I got all the things done I wanted and few more i didn't expect

The itch drove me crazy and pushed me beyond my limits

If an itch comes your way here are all my hints

But be careful of an old lady she is on the look out

For a man with a broom who has lost his mind in isle nine
