Jack the Ripper Would Confess

Updated on August 19, 2014

Jack the Ripper Tale

It was just that one night,

when a fear would call,

he thought he saw the light,

and he knew he didn’t fear God at all,

he knelt down in front of a Cross,

but he knew deep inside,

forgiveness for him would be a loss,

he expected God to hold his breath,

because he was about to confess,

death after death,

and he’ll be detailed or try his best,

it was madness,

as he lifted his hands

to make the Sign of the Cross,

he knew it was wrong,

but he sinned so much,

and he sinned for so long,

insanity and reality were out of touch,

but in order to confess,

he just had to be strong,

He heard that God

had the capacity to forgive,

and though the women he attacked

would not live,

God was infinite and filled with mercy,

but was that enough,

because his heart was hollow, empty, black,

and it would always crack,

then a young woman walked in,

she too had tales of sin,

but she was at the wrong place,

she realized that

when she saw his face,

her mouth open in horror,

he took command,

as her Rosary was clattering

in her right hand,

He was like an animal

out of his cage,

and he drew first blood,

as he was filled with contempt, anger, rage,

her prayers popped,

as she was calling on God,

then suddenly Jack stopped,

turned and walked away,

she watched in total fascination,

and she would not die that day.

Good work, Frank. It's very creative and very entertaining the way you can take a time or place and add your own touch. I was intrigued when I saw the title because I was working on my novel this morning and mentioned, Jack the ripper.

Intense, gripping even. I like this one a lot especially how both characters are calling on God, and in a way, I think he responded to both. Great piece.
