Joy means Jesus (Christian poem)

Updated on January 15, 2015

Joy means Jesus

=0)

Joy means Jesus that’s why it’s always there;

If you have Jesus, you bid goodbye to despair,

=0)

When weary days surrounds you,

And you seem to be drowning in a load of care,

Remind yourself of Jesus and trust that He is always there

=0)

Greater than the greatest sorrow,

Bigger than the burden of tomorrow,

Every hurt and pain, He surely knows

The trouble of life is not the absence of Him,

The purpose it serves is to make us stronger within.

=0)

Growing our muscles of faith,

Teaching us to live in holiness no matter what we face,

Taking us higher in our knowledge of Him,

Revealing to us the dangers of sin,

=0)

Making us more like Christ, molding us to be more faithful,

Teaching us to be wise, we learn more to be grateful,

So whatever situation we may find ourselves in,

Look to Jesus and we’ll see how it’s all worthwhile

=0)

If He is in control and indeed He is,

Why are we mourning as if we have no hope?

Why do we act like we’re nearing the end of the rope?

=0)

His will be done! And not ours,

Our life hid in Christ, we need thee every hour,

So if He is for us, who can be against us?

Joy means nothing else but Jesus!

Bless the Lord o my soul!

Unto Him make a joyful noise!

In Him alone I shall rejoice!

=0)

Soli Deo Gloria
