Judgment Day A Song

Updated on January 26, 2012

Judgment Day

Just can’t seem to get a grasp

How people close their minds

Situations troubles souls

Seek & you shall find

If you haven’t traveled common paths

Hold judgment till you do

Cause when you think you’ve seen it all

You haven’t got a clue!

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

No one knows the truth

Who the hell are you to guess

What lies beneath the roots

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

Seek and you shall find

Each door you open stones you turn

Can surely change your mind

Bobby threw his life away

The system let him down

Illness buried deep inside

No point to stick around

His wife had turned him from the door

Two teens to guard inside

People sat and wondered but

Then they’d run and hide

Convicts seem to have a home

Funded by the state

But Bobby wandered aimlessly

The system sealed his fate

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

There’s no good set of rules

Who the hell are you to say

Who can sing the blues

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

Sit there hope and pray

That you won’t need to travel

In her troubled shoes one day

Sis is on the left coast

It’s a different place I hear

She carries much upon her plate

But I hear whispers in the air

Her cards are late if at all

People wonder when she’ll call

Give it up! You’ve got no clue

The trash that lies beneath her shoe

Give respect get respect

It’s a two way street I say

Place yourself inside her skin

Your judgments gone astray

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

There is no soft edged knife

Who the hell are you to say

How she should run her life

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

Sit there be discreet

A day shall come like the rising sun

There’ll be conflict at your feet

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

There is no escape for you

Who the hell are you to think

No judgments passed on you

Judgment Day, Judgment Day

In the mirror is your clue

The only one that you should judge

Is looking right at you

Yea the only one who you can judge

Is staring right at you

I say, the only one who you can judge

Is right inside of you.

Who are you judging!

Awesome piece here. It reads like the lyrics to a good song. In fact, I think it easily could be put to music. You just may have something here. Very well done! Voted up and awesome.
