Julius Caesar & Queen Cordelia

Updated on August 9, 2016

Once upon a time
there was this British Queen
Welcomed by the tribes
yet by Romans unseen

She fell in love
with a Roman man
Although he was married
Their union was planned

The Seers had seen
they had prophesied
A son in their future
a King worth while

A new line of kings
would come to play
So they were united
the Druids’ way

Out of their union
a child was born
But not a son
as was foretold

Julius Caesar
left his Queen
Leaving her lonely
leaving her grieved

Cordelia could
not overcome
Her broken heart
her love was gone

She ended her life
right there and then
She could not live
without her man
