The Craze of Cell Phones

Invention of the cell phone beats one of the car

as we'd rather switch back to horse and cart

and agree to walk no matter how far

than from our cell phone to part.

Doesn't take a shrink to call it a surrogate friend

or maybe a parent, a teacher, or whoever

it has really become some crazy trend

not making us look very clever.

Those incessant monologues sounding a big deal

on sidewalks, in stores, restrooms, and bars

and selfies taken with narcissistic zeal

not to mention texting in cars.

My special treat is hearing those cyber-fights

as idiots get oblivious to all people around

one of those truly irreplaceable sights

to watch and hear how they sound.

And yet, not so much I'd mock rather

than two people sitting at the table

having chat by texting each other

what I call "socially disabled".

Protests about privacy are a laughing stock

as you don't need to tap anyone's phone

just follow the freak around the block

and you'll know all that's going on.

Daily News Olympics

As I am glancing over daily news

casually, not really out of care

my eyes are about to bruise

with ugly crap everywhere.

It's like some Olympic contest

involving people from every side

who could screw up things the best

happening globally or just nationwide.

Top favorites, as we all must know

are politicians. almost as a rule

on every news and talk show

as no one beats their bull.

Serial killers fighting for second place

hoping for few silver medals to win

with leaders leading in that race

their skill making heads spin.

Audiences cheering for their own champ

like a mass of sheep blind and all proud

black or white but of an opposite camp

all really the same entranced crowd.

Cereal Killer Not Misspelled

Artificial food makes artificial man

and sooner or later nature rebels

eating from a box or from a can

slowly but surely kills our cells.

We are no pigeons to peck on any crap

what doesn't kill doesn't mean it's good

it's like substituting symphony with rap

assaulting our nature with plastic food.

Now not only that we eat wrong foods

but we are also eating way too much

mostly to uplift some crappy moods

losing with our nature every touch.

Ancient Egyptians talked about that excess treat

showing off their great knowledge of nutrition:

"We could survive on a third of what we eat

other two thirds are feeding our physician".

Well, all those smart Egyptians are long gone now

mummies look better than some of our geezers

we may try to avoid that outcome somehow

by eating less from box and from freezers.

Easy Women and Beliefs

Beliefs like easy women, we can have many

while always only truth insists on a marriage

playing with some cheap logic or without any

we're putting horse in front or behind carriage.

So we believe what we see, or see what we believe

believing with a proof -- or believing without it

our mind can do it, because it can deceive

even with nothing believable about it.

Like easy blonde -- or an easy brunette

both offer pleasures of the same kind

but one we take for intellectual pet

according to taste of our mind.

Our beliefs are what we make of them

they can even destroy us or make us kill

being in our minds like some precious gem

if not becoming merely a sterile religious drill.

But whatever they are, truth they are not

for truth needs no believing, only knowing

and it's always so easy for all people to spot

with everyone agreeing over what is showing.

Led by Some Clowns

In a circus better known as earth

there are clowns known as leaders

this is just another story of their worth

merely for some laughs my dear readers.

Each and every clownish dude

well rehearsed to trigger laugh

with a role refined and shrewd

sometimes even looking tough.

Pretending is their main routine

earning them standing ovations

while they manage to stay clean

after so ably duping their nations.

And then there are all those acts

making them two-faced to the core

as they are signing those peace pacts

while keeping the world at brink of a war.

To have fun with all that bluffing

circus admission is always free

so is worrying, so is laughing

duped, or able to clearly see.

As long as they pretend to lead

we can also pretend to follow

they are just a circus breed

so let them play it solo.
