Just Over Your Shoulder

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

Angels walk this earthly plane,

in many forms, not all refrain,

from guiding souls to better ends,

and delivering from harm and innocents mend.

Not wings or clouds define these beings,

and often they in shadow glean,

all that helps in silence seems,

like miracles follow just when they're needed.

Many just watch and give humans hope,

to see their folly and to somehow cope,

and they too are a blessing given,

their presence a gift of love so driven.

Just over your shoulder they stand, reside,

sometimes your friend, or sometimes hide,

but for all they are their intent well measured,

in human life with freedom tethered.

Angels exist in many ways,

to open eyes and in life display,

the paths of hope and loving ends,

with gentle hands God recommends.

For we are weak and in self depart,

from the core of life and the loving art,

and sometimes it takes an angels thoughts,

to revive our resolve and in life resort.

No Matter what you name them, angels exist on earth. They may be your best friend, a relative or in the shadows of your life, giving just what you need when you need it. When life turns miraculously around, as if a miracle, there is an angel behind it. It is well we recognize them.

      All day

      All night

Angels are watchin over me, My Lord

      All day

      All night

The Angels are watching over me.

My grandmother used to sing this song to me each night before I went to sleep. I believed it then. It's been over (60) years since she died and I still believe it. Thanks for reminding me. Voted up, beautiful and shared.
