Searching for something

Whatever that mojo is, don't lose it.

Without regard to any religion or philosophy, I can sit under a tree and come up with what I should be doing in life. I really do not need commandments or laws to figure out what is a good life. I am to do good. I am to love. I must strive for right. I must try to be a candle to shine. I must not judge or covet. I must not lie or steal or cheat. I must always combine sex and physical pleasure with love. I must attempt good health. I must not destroy, but build. I must not waste. I must give more than I receive. I must be thankful.

Should this be contingent upon recognition? Should this depend on others being similar? Does this have anything to do with how another acts? Should I only do this for reward or pay? The answer is a simple no and never. But the concept deserves more review.

You are gonna fly now!!

I once worked at something I detested, just for the money.

Somewhere along the line any fruitful life will need to evaluate the big "Why". If we are not fully engrossed and fulfilled by an endeavor, we should take a hard look at what we do and why we do it. Sometimes nothing needs to be changed except your attitude.

Life's rewards

When we embark on a task for the sole purpose of a physical or monetary reward, when we receive that reward that is the end of that endeavor. When we embark on a task for the sole purpose of sharing Love, there is no return. Financiers call it ROI (return on investment) However in straight forward terms when we create out of Love, there is more Love. The more people create in Love the more Love there is.

Now what if someone were to Love writing. The only kind of writing they do not like is filling in boxes on forms. When they write, they create and generally limit the writing to that which they love, in the world. Now just suppose such a writer needs to eat. So he writes for pay. It is wholly up to him to continue to write in love. The pay does not have control over the spirit – unless it does. Very clearly the same is true for doctors and lawyers and such. It is very noticeable in nursing and sports if they have given up the passion in exchange for a paycheck. But again I say, it need not be so.

Pacific Ocean. Searching for the Horizon

Generation after generation share certain passions. All the way across this ocean, the boys' Gramma is thinking of him, I think the Love can reach that far.

Keep that Loving Passion and all else will follow.

In my way of thinking God is good and God is Love. When we do good with Love in our hearts we invite God into our lives and He invites us into his. The synergy is an energy without bounds. Please keep the passion in whatever you do.

“I never met a man who was extremely successful, that did not have passion for what he did”

Each of us has a tiger within us, feed it!

Do you feel lucky?

Awesome!!! I appreciate your attitude. Write for passion and love. I just do that now. I developed a passion for writing after my retirement and doing it. It is really a wonderful passion. Reading people and writing for people and for my own enjoyment.

This is so beautiful and inspiring. I finally started the venture of pursuing my passions in life as a career and I'm enjoying it so much. I still have a way to go before I can give up my full-time day job, but I can surely see the light at the end of the tunnel - I'm almost there.

Life is so short, we should never take our God given gifts for granted - it's a blessing to use our gifts to help others and to provide for ourselves and family.

      The best to you!

I think the person who takes a job in order to live - that is to say, for the money - has turned himself into a slave.

      Enjoyed this piece tremendously. !!

Is it nice to be paid to do what we do? Of course, but if you find yourself lost in your passion, forgetting about time and space, you might find the sky opening for you and showering you with good will.

      Thanks for the inspirational read.

Elise-Loyacano indeed you are my key. Us poor writers must support each other. Passion comes from a mutual desire to do right.

Thank for your kind supporting words -- I was just losing some passion and you helped keep it up there. Angels are everywhere.

So true. If the passion is there, the love will be there for the task. I love how you end the hub with the role God can play in our lives. I believe the same way. God inspires and guides and helps our passions.

      Nice hub! Voted up!
