Kittens and Catkins

Updated on August 10, 2017

One afternoon I said to myself,
"Why aren't babies more unborn?"
Do babies make you shiver?

I cannot help but stop and look at helpless jacks.
Do jacks make you shiver?

Just like unisexual trees, is catkins.
"Humph", said the catkins,
And "humph" then "humph" again.

Because I could not bear for animals,
They did kindly bear for me.
Animals, animals, every where,
Yet not a drop to bear.

One afternoon I said to myself,
"Why isn't the chat more distressed?"
Pause to network, like the chat does.
It does network,
It does chat,
It does lay.

Piglets, however hard they try,
Will always be yellow.
Never forget the jaundiced and white-livered piglets.
