Life as far as the mind can see.

Looking back and
recounting life's
experiences will
recall only memories;
some may be fresh
and others unfamiliar.

With most of them
stirring straight at you
and asking for answers
and/or corrections, but
none can be found, for
they do seem to be fuzzy

The ones that stick to mind
take you back to your youth,
when things are done
rashly or without second
thought, for brashness sake
or because of foolhardiness.

Then, in your mind's eye,
even recent events lose their
merit and influence; they
are water under the bridge.
Showing an emptiness in life
that can never be filled.
