Lady Luck Has a Sense of Humor: a Poem

Val is a life-long student of the psycho-philosophy of living and a devoted practitioner of many techniques that enhance personal evolution.

Whether we play lottery or devotedly pray

our odds of winning are only as good

as our ability to laugh and play

and our happy dominating mood.

So whether Lady Luck may help or not

has nothing to do with our need

but a feeling that we already have a lot

is something like a golden seed.

Complaining and begging in a needy hope

makes Lady Luck just laugh at us

so as long as we do nothing but mope

she doesn't listen to any of that fuss.

She may sometimes make an exception or two

just to teach us a lesson from her wise book

rewarding someone's misery out of blue

to show how misery only changes its look.

For, there are many apparently wealthy

being a laughing stock to our Lady Luck

after getting all fortune except for being healthy

if they are still not satisfied, she doesn't give a bleep.

Luck can come in many forms of fashion. Sometimes, what appears as bad luck, can be a wake up call to change. What a person needs more than anything is wisdom and the understanding of wisdom.

Lady Luck can be a tricky lady from time to time. Another great poem.
