LadyFae's Travels

Updated on May 23, 2011

My travels have always
taken me far
I was privileged to see
what others dream of

That amazing sunset
at the Bali Beach
the warmest feeling
overcomes each

The fantastic city
of NYC
the hustle and bustle
the energy

The vibrant feeling
of Paris Town
a wonderful city
all year around

and its narrow streets
takes you back in time
sweeps you off your feet

Wonderful places
I have seen here
the many memories
I'll always hold dear

For unfortunately
the world has changed
polluted countries
and violence that reigns

No more midnight walks
in beautiful Paris Town
for you might get robbed
and then brutally beaten down

The fantastic city
of NYC
now ruled by fear
no longer free

The narrow streets
of Jerusalem
watched by soldiers
it’s guarded well

Pollution spreads
around the globe
giving reason to worry
is there still hope?

Yes there is
if we take control
stop the destruction
restore the whole

Stop the madness
become aware
things can change
if we really care

Loved this. Even though I haven't been to NYC, you left a lot of images in my mind through this poem. Keep writing. Voted up.

Dear Teylina, thank you for your compliment. Very much appreciated. And yeah, if we can actually change everything, I don't know but we never know until we try.

Great poem, and so glad you said be sure to see all pics. Was worth it, even if I don't necessarily agree we can change things! But I love the pic, because, yes, we can contribute our share. Up of course.
