Laundry Humor-A Load Away

Updated on March 3, 2011

A Load Away

Laundry is an endless chore

one that's here to stay.

Unless I do it in the buff...

The end's a load away!

Laundry's not my favorite chore

But one I can't deny...

Cause I can't do it in the buff

You see, I'm way too shy!

So, laundry is an endless chore,

But one I'll always do...

For If I don't, its in the buff

I'll end up, ain't it true?

Thank you, healthmom! As the mother of three sons, I know exactly what you're talking about!

I love it! Thanks for a laugh. I've been doing a bit more lately since my 2 year old's goal in life seems to be changing clothes as many times as humanly possible in 24 hours!

That was fun and very cute. It certainly gets people thinking . . . And not necessarily about laundry!

......well if there were ever a spin cycle of clever, witty and charming this must be it - but then again I know you to be a very clever witty and charming person - and you have always supported me and made me a better writer by doing so ...... I wish you only the best in the coming new year and send you sincere warm wishes for you and your family during this holiday season - and as Bob Hope once sang - Thanks for the (poetic) memories!!!

tnderhrt23 - That was a very funny (and well done) poem. It reminded me of the story about that lady who was washing her boy's football uniform. She put his helmet on her own head. Then she decided to wash the clothes she was herself wearing. The meterman crawled though the window to do his reading - and there she was sans clothing. "Lady," he told her, "I hope your team wins."

      Gus :-)))

I thank you, minakay,FloBe, and prasetio30 for your wonderful feedback. The idea of it came to me one laundry day...tedium is more tolerable when tempered with humor.

I had the first verse for a few weeks, but couldnt post because it kept telling me it had too little content. So I just saved it, and the rest happened today, very quickly it came, again while doing...guess what...more laundry!lol Again, thanks!

That's the captured the humor of it. I wrote a hub called the Laundry Quandary. I also am not enamored with the idea of laundry!
