Laying Within My Continent

Updated on March 25, 2012

Last night he laid within my continent

Inspiring journeys reached through lush bushes

Running feet through my green pastures

Mesmerized with my waterfalls

Climbing my trees to seek out beauty beyond knowledge

I allowed you to hear my rumbling cries, you enhance my silent nights

As he laid within my continent, picking orchids and dropping weeds..cracks and crevices in between

He painted pictures on the concreted walls of me

Leaving behind his initials in a faded memory

Granting him permission to taste the bittersweet my chocolate nature exuded

Past times revealed through after shower rainbows leaves you forever wanting more

Now I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go! Well, at least you had a good time. Great poem and wonderful imagery. You bring new meaning to "transcontinental"
