Leaving Home Without You

Updated on December 23, 2013

I stand alone on this street
To what city have you gone?
I stand alone and start to dream again
Change my clothes in a public place

Here November is come again
I never grow tired of these falling leaves
Always dying to be reborn
To what city have you gone?

l stand alone in the middle
unheard of but clearly seen
The traffic rushes past
I wonder if they know that song
To what city have you gone?

Feeling slow motion
Alone in the middle
You laugh
I hear a whisper
I see a wink

It is so good to dream again
I will focus where your vision is painted on the sky
And then I will jump away from the pain
To what city you have gone
